Joseph was born December 8, 1903 in Georgiaville, RI.*
His parents were Wilfred and Delima Lessard. His mother died in 1907 and his father married Rosalie Morin on Sept. 15, 1907. The adults returned to Canada sometime around 1908. They left Joseph and his younger sister, Blanche with relatives or friends.
His parents returned to the US in 1910 and the family went to Woonsocket to settle.

On February 25, 1924, Joseph I. Menard (Age 20) and Aurore Giguere (age 18) were married in Woonsocket, RI.*
They had two children. Oscar Wilfrid was born July 29, 1924.
Ernest was born January 13, 1926 in Blackstone, MA.

Joseph and Aurore divorced on July 17, 1937. Joseph married Bertha Mary Cyawnoski on July 31, 1937 and they divorces on Jan. 20, 1955. He married Albina Tucker on June 16, 1956.
