MARIE CORMIER (1890-1983)


 Marie Cormier was born on July 5, 1890 at St. Theophile de Beauce, Quebec, Canada. She was baptized Marie Sophronie at St. Come de Kennebec, Quebec.* She would celebrate her birthday on July 4th in honor of her adopted country.

Her parents were Joseph Charles Cormier and Celina Guilmette.

She immigrated to the US in 1898.

Marie married William Berube at St. Louis Church in Woonsocket, RI on May 12, 1913.  

They had 4 children:
Aurore, Lionel, Jeannette and Bernadette with mom.

Lionel Joseph, born April 17, 1914 on Elbow St., Woonsocket, RI.  Bernadette Apoline was born on Dec. 6, 1915 at Merida St., Woonsocket.  Jeannette Virginie was born on Nov. 14, 1918 at 56 Social St., Woonsocket and Aurore Marie-Alice was born on Oct. 20, 1920 at Burnside Ave., Woonsocket.

Marie died on April 4, 1983. She was buried at St. Charles Cemetery in Balckstone, MA.
